Hello from the Ridgely Lions Club!  We will be happy to have your group participate in the

 

2025 Ridgely Lions Christmas Parade

 

to be held on Saturday December 6th!  The parade staging starts at 6pm and the parade gets underway at 6:45pm.  There is no official Registration Process for this event other than to jot down a little bit of information on an index card and show up at the rear parking lot of Sutton Park (near the Skate Park).  The information that we would like to have on the card is (the name of your group and any brief message that you would like to have our announcer share with spectators).

Line Up – Line Up begins at about 6:00pm and we really like to have all parade participants there no later than 6:20pm.  It is important to tell all parents and those dropping off Parade Participants to enter 4th Street from Sunset Avenue.  Please be prepared to drop off participants and move on down 4th Street and away from the Parade Staging area.  4th Street will be One Way for the evening moving from Sunset towards Park Avenue.  There will be no parking along 4th Street or in the Rear Parking lot of Sutton Park except for “Vehicles/Parade Entry’s/Floats”.   

 

We stage the vehicles in the parade in (3) lines on the parking lot.  We will have Lions at the entrance to the parking lot on 4th street to direct you.  If you have walker’s we would like you to keep your group together in one place and a Lion will find you and give you a position in the parade.  We suggest that you have enough chaperones to attend to your group and it is a good idea for those chaperones to have a flashlight since the parking lot is not well lit.  We do not have restrooms at the parade staging area, but the town has a porta pot near the ball field.  Please dress appropriately for the weather that evening.

 

We are pretty good at getting the parade underway by our designated start time of 6:45pm.  Our parade will leave Sutton Park on 4th Street to Central Avenue and turn left on Railroad Avenue and then left again on Maryland where the parade will end.   Santa will visit with children at the Train Station.
